“Northwestern Bulgaria has everything needed for tourism,” Borshosh said, criticizing past neglect and the lack of infrastructure and marketing. He announced the Ministry is developing a tourism map to identify key areas and ensure accessibility.

Borshosh called for cooperation between national and local governments and the tourism industry, citing Chiprovtsi as a strong example of preserved tradition and tourist readiness. He stressed the importance of supporting traditional crafts like the Chiprovtsi carpets as a way to boost tourism and counter demographic decline.

Mayor Petkov shared plans to open a specialized carpet weaving class in the local school, attracting interest from families across Bulgaria and abroad.
