Moldova Gets 19 Emergency Vehicles from Japan
The Republic of Moldova has received 19 modern rescue and firefighting vehicles and equipment from Japan, aimed at boosting the efficiency of emergency missions. The delivery was showcased during an event marking the Moldovan-Japanese project Improving Fire Prevention Equipment, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin, JICA President Akihiko Tanaka, and other officials highlighted the strengthened emergency response capabilities and the growing Moldovan-Japanese partnership. After the ceremony, firefighters demonstrated the new equipment in action, showcasing improved operational readiness.
This project follows the 2021 grant agreement worth about $14 million, further cementing the strategic collaboration between the two countries.
