"Moldova Unites for Forest Cleanup"
The Environment Ministry's Clean Forest Campaign took place today across all districts of Moldova, promoting forest preservation and environmental responsibility, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Minister Sergiu Lazarencu and his team joined the cleanup in Durlesti forest, where they also installed the first signs for tourist trails. Lazarencu emphasized that real change starts with individual action and called for the initiative to become a biannual tradition.
“The Forest Generation is about more than planting—it’s about caring. Once someone takes part in cleaning a forest, they’ll never litter again,” he said, announcing that the campaign will now be held annually on the last weekend of April.
The Environmental Protection Inspectorate and Moldsilva Forestry Agency coordinated efforts across municipal and state-managed forests, ensuring the campaign’s reach across the entire country.
