Moldova State University (USM) rector Igor Sarov urged citizens entitled to vote to participate in the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum on 20 October. He noted that it is time to take responsibility for our future and not let others decide our fate, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

He said "we are living in times that test our resilience, conscience and civic spirit", and "our best response, as a nation is to strengthen the rule of law and move firmly on the road to joining the European Union, where our rights and freedoms are respected and protected."
