The Pan-European Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Human Brotherhood Foundation, is organizing an international conference to mark the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Pan-European Union of BiH and the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, titled "Peace as the Foundation, European Integration as the Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina," which will be held on November 14–15 in Sarajevo.

The conference will bring together more than 160 domestic and international participants, including participants in the Dayton Peace negotiations, representatives of state, entity, cantonal, and municipal levels of government, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, and the academic community, CE Report quotes FENA.

Among the high-ranking guests are the envoy of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Denis Bećirović, Vice Presidents of the Federation of BiH Igor Stojanović and Refik Lendo, as well as the Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Kemal Ademović.

Other notable guests include the Director of the Directorate for European Integration, Elvira Habota; the Head of the OSCE Mission in BiH, Ambassador Richard Holtzapple; Croatian Ambassador Ivan Sabolić; German Ambassador Alfred Grannas; Slovenian Ambassador Damijan Sedar; and representatives of the Delegation of the European Union in BiH.

The conference will also feature the President of the International Pan-European Union, academic Pavo Barišić, and the President of the Pan-European Union of BiH, academic Franjo Topić, along with representatives of Pan-European Unions from Croatia, Germany, France, Slovenia, and Serbia.

A special significance of the conference is the presence of participants in the Dayton Peace negotiations, including Ivo Komšić, Ejup Ganić, Miro Lazović, Kasim Trnka, as well as former members of the Presidency of BiH Mirko Pejanović and Stjepan Kljuić. Together with domestic and European leaders, they will discuss Bosnia and Herzegovina’s position on its European path and the legacy of peace three decades after Dayton.

Through four thematic panels, discussions will focus on the legacy of peace, Euro-Atlantic integration, regional cooperation, and the prospects of the Western Balkans within the community of a European future.

The final part of the conference will be marked by the adoption of the Declaration of the Pan-European Union of BiH, which will reaffirm Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to European values, peace, dialogue, and democratic development, the organizers announced.
