Ben Affleck has described his co-parenting relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner as “wonderful,” emphasizing that raising their three children remains his top priority.

The “Gone Girl” actor, who divorced Garner in 2018 after 13 years together, shares three children with the 54-year-old “Alias” actress: Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14, CE Report quotes Kosova Press

“I don’t have anything scandalous going on in my life. I work hard and then I go home to pick the kids up from school. We have dinner together, if they agree to spend time with me,” Affleck told Variety.

“They spend one week with me and one week with their mom. They have a great relationship with their mom, which I’m also really grateful for. I know there will be difficult situations, and I don’t want to disrupt how well things are going right now, but this period of my life, as a human being, is really wonderful,” he added.

The 54-year-old actor also explained why he prefers working in Los Angeles rather than traveling extensively for film productions.

“I’m divorced, I have joint custody, and I don’t want to miss these years. My kids are here, and their lives are moving so fast. I don’t want to have to go to Shreveport or New Mexico for work,” Affleck said.

He acknowledged that his career gives him the flexibility to make such decisions, adding that he considers himself fortunate.

“I know some people don’t have the luxury of making those choices. Of course, I’m lucky, but I also know from experience that the best film crews in the world are in Los Angeles.”

Affleck also revealed that pursuing a new romantic relationship is not a major priority following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

The actor and Lopez, 57, finalized their divorce in January 2025 after two years of marriage.

Affleck said he is currently focused on his career and spending time with his children, describing himself as being in a positive place in life.

“I’m doing well, and I’m happy. I know what my priorities are. You can’t have two things that are both the most important in your life. For me, it’s my kids. That’s the main thing,” he said.

“Then I have my work, which I love and where I feel great. Who knows what adventures life will bring? I’m open to them, but I’m not actively chasing anything.”
