Starship Troopers actor Patrick Muldoon passes away
Patrick Muldoon, known for his roles in Days of Our Lives, Melrose Place, and Starship Troopers, has died at the age of 57 following a heart attack, EFE reported on Tuesday, citing TMZ.
His sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ that the actor went to take a shower on Sunday morning after having coffee with his partner at their home in Beverly Hills. When he took too long, his partner went to check on him and found him unconscious on the bathroom floor, CE Report quotes AGERPRES
Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and attempted to resuscitate him, but were unable to save his life, according to TMZ.
Muldoon began his acting career during college, landing the role of Matt in the comedy series Who’s the Boss?.
After graduating, he played Jeffrey Hunter in Saved by the Bell.
The actor, originally from Los Angeles, portrayed Austin Reed in Days of Our Lives between 1992 and 1995, and again between 2011 and 2012.
He also played Richard Hart in Melrose Place for several seasons.
In addition to his television success, Muldoon was known for his roles on the big screen, including Zander Barcalow in Starship Troopers (1997).
He also appeared in films such as Deadlock (2021), Vanquish (2021), Dakota (2022), Marlowe (2022), and Murder at Hollow Creek (2023).
His final film, Dirty Hands, is scheduled for release later this year.
