Kate Middleton warmly embraced an elderly man who attended an event at Buckingham Palace, fulfilling his late wife’s final wish.
The Princess of Wales shared this emotional moment with 88-year-old Tony Gledhill during a reception marking the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
In a video shared by Daily Mail royal correspondent Rebecca English on X, the Princess and Gledhill are seen holding hands while speaking before she leans in to hug him.
According to the journalist, Gledhill told Kate that his wife had recently passed away and had asked him before her death to attend the event.
