North Macedonia police report two domestic violence cases

Physical assaults by a non-marital partner and a brother-in-law were reported to the police in North Macedonia, the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs announced.

According to authorities, police officers from the Kavadarci Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man with temporary residence in Rosoman, following a prior report that he had physically attacked his 22-year-old unmarried partner at their home, also using a wooden object.

He was taken into police custody and a public prosecutor was informed. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against him, police said, CE Report quotes MIA.

In a separate incident during the same day, S.M. (31) from Kavadarci reported to the Veles Interior Ministry Sector that her brother-in-law, I.M., physically assaulted her in the yard of her home.

Authorities said measures are being taken to fully investigate and clarify the case.
