BTS concert demand outnumbers tickets ahead of April world tour
The huge demand for concerts scheduled by K-pop group BTS in Mexico prompted the country’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum, to officially request assistance from her counterpart, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, for organizing additional shows.
“Everyone wants to go,” Sheinbaum said during the daily morning press conference.
Sheinbaum added that she had sent a letter to the South Korean president requesting more concerts, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
“About 1 million young people want to buy tickets, but only 150,000 are available,” she noted.
The top group is set to start a world tour in April, shortly after the release of their first new album in three years, titled “Arirang.” It is noted that BTS have been absent from the music scene since 2022, as they were fulfilling their military obligations in South Korea.
