Renato Casaro, the most famous Italian illustrator of movie posters and billboards, has died in his hometown of Treviso, CE Report quotes ANSA.

He was about to turn 90 on October 26. Casaro was internationally renowned and an influential poster artist for the big screen.

He had been hospitalized for several days with bronchopneumonia at a hospital in Treviso, where he passed away during the night.

His posters made cinema history with thousands of works created for Francis Ford Coppola, Sergio Leone, Quentin Tarantino, Franco Zeffirelli, Claude Lelouch, and many others, collaborating with the most prestigious Hollywood production majors.
