A Los Angeles home that an official said was burglarized is owned by Brad Pitt, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department said a break-in occurred at a home in the Los Feliz neighborhood, in response to a question from CNN, but did not name the victim, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Three people entered the home through the front window, searched the contents and left with an unknown amount of property, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said.

Pitt's house is located in an affluent area of Los Feliz – a neighborhood that borders Griffith Park, one of the city's most famous parks.

His home is one of several known locations that have been illegally entered in recent months.

Meanwhile, seven Chilean nationals were charged in February after prosecutors alleged they broke into and stole more than $2 million worth of property from the homes of professional athletes across the US.
