Croatian pop singer cancels concert in Serbia
Croatian pop singer Tony Cetinski cancelled his concert in the SPENS hall in Novi Sad, Serbia, just hours before taking the stage on Sunday evening.
"In recent days, I have been informed of numerous testimonies from people for whom that hall carries difficult memories from the war-torn nineties. As a man who deeply respects all human suffering, I feel a responsibility not to remain indifferent to it. I want to make it clear that I feel great respect and gratitude towards the audience in Serbia. For years, they have welcomed me there with love and song, with open hearts, so I believe that they will understand this decision of mine, and not condemn it," Cetinski said
He cited "numerous testimonies from people for whom this hall carries painful memories from the 1990s war," CE Report informs.
