"Mr. Nobody Against Putin" wins Big at ZagrebDox
"Mr. Nobody against Putin" by authors Pavel "Pasha" Talankin and David Borenstein won the Big Stamp Award for Best Film in International Competition Programme at this year's ZagrebDox, and "My Dad's Lessons" by Dalija Dozet was the best film in Regional Competition Programme.
The 21st edition ZagrebDox, the International Documentary Film Festival in Zagreb, began on 30 March and ends on Sunday, CE Report quotes HINA.
The 21st edition of the festival featured around 100 films carefully selected from 1,500 submissions. According to the organisers, the selection follows the same principle as always – showcasing the very best of recent global documentary filmmaking.
According to the director of ZagrebDox, Nenad Puhovski, an estimated 15,000 people have attended the cinema screenings in recent days, engaging in discussions about the films they watched.
Since last Sunday, 107 documentary films have been screened at the Kaptol Boutique Cinema, spread across sixteen programmes. Twenty films competed for the official festival award in the International competition, while eighteen films competed in the regional competition.
