Nova Gorica and Gorizia honored with prestigious cultural award

The European Commission has awarded the EUR 1.5 million Melina Mercouri Prize to the 2025 European Capital of Culture, CE Report quotes STA.

As reported, it brings together the Slovenian and Italian border cities of Nova Gorica and Gorizia.

The project, which will officially get under way on 8 February, will receive the prize in March.
