Greece extends water emergency status for Patmos

The Minister of Environment and Energy of Greece, Stavros Papastavrou, signed a decision declaring Astypalaia island under a state of emergency due to water scarcity for three months.

The decision was approved by the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste and Water (RAAEY) and the Secretary General for Aegean and Insular Policy, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

In addition, the state of emergency due to water scarcity for Patmos is extended for an additional three months.
