Situation worsens in Albania’s Novosela municipal unit

Following heavy rain, the situation in Albania’s Novosela municipal unit is getting worse as a result of the increase in water levels, posing a risk for the local residents and property in the area.

Municipality of Vlora said today that in cooperation with the relevant teams of the civil emergencies, the National Civil Protection Agency and the Armed Forces, it has engaged all necessary capacities on the ground and is fully prepared to assist residents, both in case of need for evacuation, and for taking the necessary measures for the rescue and safety of livestock, CE Report quotes ATA.

The Municipality called on residents to strictly follow the instructions of the teams on the ground and to avoid unnecessary movements in the endangered areas until the situation is restored to normality.
