North Macedonia, US discuss economic cooperation, reform agenda

Finance Minister of North Macedonia Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska wrote in a social media post that she held a meeting with the U.S. Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires Nicole Varnes, CE Report informs.

"Today, I met with Nicole Warns, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States, with whom I discussed economic priorities, reforms and opportunities for further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

I emphasised our commitment to stable and sustainable public finances, responsible management of citizens’ funds, as well as policies that create conditions for economic growth, investment and a better business environment.

I expressed my gratitude for the continued support from the United States, particularly through cooperation with the U.S. Treasury, which is important for strengthening institutional capacities and improving processes within the Ministry of Finance.

We will continue our dedicated work on reforms, strong institutions and economic policies that deliver results for citizens," she wrote in the post.
