ACCI Welcomes Anti-Bureaucracy Reforms
The president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Yiannis Bratakos, hailed the government’s new measures to reduce bureaucracy as a positive and necessary step for strengthening entrepreneurship in Greece, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia
“These reforms align with long-standing demands of the business community, reducing delays, administrative burdens, and unjustified complexity,” Bratakos said.
He welcomed steps such as simplified business start-up procedures, better interoperability between public systems, and automated issuance of certificates and approvals.
However, he stressed that deeper reforms are needed, including full digitalisation of licensing and inspections, a stable regulatory framework, reduced burdens on SMEs, and faster delivery of justice to enhance legal certainty.
ACCI pledged to continue supporting efforts to modernize public administration and promote productive, outward-looking entrepreneurship.
