The Moldovan government has approved a draft law to ratify the facility agreement with the European Union, aimed at implementing support under the EU’s Reform and Growth Facility for Moldova, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The agreement outlines financial cooperation principles between Moldova and the EU to advance Moldova’s Reform Agenda. It focuses on strengthening the rule of law, promoting good governance, supporting green and digital transformation, and fostering economic resilience and EU convergence.

“With EU support, we commit to improving living standards, modernizing institutions, and making investments that will ensure economic growth,” said Secretary-General of Government Artur Mija.

The EU-backed funds will support key projects, including the rehabilitation of 200 km of roads, construction of regional hospitals in Bălți and Cahul, renovation of 1,000 school canteens, expansion of kindergarten capacity, job creation, and business development. Infrastructure initiatives also include a new bridge over the Prut River and enhanced rail links with the EU.

The facility agreement was signed on 9 May 2025 during the visit of European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.
