
Bulgaria to Unveil Lobbying Bill in June
Bulgarian Justice Minister Georgi Georgiev announced on Thursday that the government aims to present a Lobbying Bill by the end of June. Speaking at the Business Integrity and Sustainability Forum 2025, he explained that the bill, discussed with civil society and OECD representatives, is designed to regulate how stakeholders influence decision-making in the legislative process, CE Report quotes BTA
Georgiev stressed that transparency and predictability in governance are key to attracting and retaining foreign investment, which he noted is crucial for job creation. He also shared that the ministries of justice and economy are finalizing a code of ethical conduct for state-owned and municipal corporations' management bodies, expected to be released in the coming weeks. This initiative supports Bulgaria's OECD accession efforts and aligns with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
