Bulgaria Emphasizes Peace and Connectivity in Black Sea Region

Achieving peace in the Black Sea region is essential for connectivity and economic cooperation, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev stated during a meeting with Asaf Hajiev, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), CE Report quotes BTA

Radev highlighted Bulgaria’s role in diversifying energy sources and transportation routes, citing the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector as a key project. The discussion also covered potential new energy initiatives to strengthen regional ties.

Hajiev praised Bulgaria’s active participation in PABSEC and its contributions to shared goals. The meeting also addressed Bulgaria’s upcoming presidency of PABSEC from July to December 2025.
