Ukrainian forces liberate village near Pokrovsk

War in Ukraine

The Ukrainian defense forces pushed the Russian army out of Pishchane village, three kilometers from Pokrovsk. This was achieved thanks to the effective cooperation of unmanned aerial vehicles and attack aircraft.

Viktor Trehubov, the spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of forces, said this on Suspilne, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

According to him, the Russian army has recently suffered setbacks in the Pokrovsk sector.

“That is the village of Pishchane, where Russian forces were driven out. There have been active hostilities there for quite some time, but it is important to note that the situation is constantly evolving in this area. The recent defeat suffered by the Russians in this area has been attributed, particularly, to the effective coordination of various Ukrainian drone operators and UAV units,” said the Khortytsia spokesman.

He stated that this strategy could serve as a basis for establishing a system of interaction that would be advantageous to expand into other areas of the frontline.

"While we are discussing not only drones, but also effective assault operations, such as the 'Skala'. It is important to note that the Ukrainian forces here are highly skilled, and the Russians were unable to overcome the Ukrainians primarily due to a lack of organization and resources. They were unable to compete with the Ukrainians both in the air and on the ground," Trehubov emphasized.
