Albania to launch direct flights to Canada soon
A new non-stop air route linking Albania and Canada will begin operating on June 19, 2026, with direct flights between Tirana and Toronto.
The service will establish the first uninterrupted air link between the two countries, opening a direct corridor for passenger travel, CE Report quotes ATA.
In a statement, Tirana International Airport (TIA) said that, backed by strategic investments from Kastrati Group, the airport is confidently moving into long-haul operations.
Under the new bilateral agreement, several airlines will be able to operate scheduled services between Albania and Canada, allowing for up to 14 passenger flights per week in each direction.
The agreement also provides for up to 10 weekly cargo flights and grants carriers access to any destination within the territory of either country.
As reported by CE Report, Albania's inflation outlook shows improved price stability.
