Kosovo hotel tourism shows growth driven by domestic, international guests
In September of this year, the number of visitors (domestic and foreign) in hotels in Kosovo was 64,727, of which 39.1% were domestic and 60.9% were foreign.
According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, compared to September 2024 (when there were 62,393 visitors), there was an increase of 3.7% in the total number of hotel visitors, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Meanwhile, the number of overnight stays was 146,598, of which 50.6% were from domestic visitors and 49.4% from foreign visitors.
The Peja region had the highest number of domestic visitors and overnight stays in hotels.
“The region of Peja had the largest number of domestic visitors in hotels, with 8,281 visitors and 25,048 overnight stays,” announced KAS.
As for foreign visitors and their overnight stays in hotels, according to the countries they come from, Albania ranks first, followed by Germany, Switzerland, and Turkey.
“With regard to foreign visitors, compared to the previous period (September 2024), their number remained the same, without change. In total, there were 39,397 foreign visitors, the majority of whom came from Albania, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, etc.,” reported the Kosovo Agency of Statistics.
