In the Kukës region of northeastern Albania, nature offers a range of natural monuments that impress not only with their grandeur and scientific value but also with the healing richness of its highlands, CE Report quotes ATA.

For nature lovers, Kukës provides numerous destinations, but the most favored by tourists remain the mountains, Lake Kallabaku, and the Trail of Colors (Shtegu i Ngjyrave).

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images on social media from the Trail of Colors in Shishtavec, which is part of the Korab-Koritnik Nature Park.

The trail stretches about 13 kilometers through some of the largest alpine pastures in Southeast Europe, offering magical views across green meadows and multicolored flowers.

The trail starts from Novosej or Shishtavec and heads toward Grykë Çajë village, following the border between Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.

Along the route, hikers can climb Mount Kallabaku (2,174 m) and enjoy views of the Sharr Mountains, extending from Kosovo into North Macedonia.

The most beautiful section, also part of the High Scardus Trail, runs from Kallabaku Peak to Grykë Çajë village, one of Kukës’ most beloved tourist destinations.
