Albania’s Shkodër to host spectacular Navigation Museum
Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama shared images from the construction site of the Navigation Museum at the entrance of the city of Shkodër, a project that is taking shape day by day.
According to Rama, this is an investment that will give the city a unique space dedicated to its heritage and history, closely linked to navigation on the lake and rivers that surround it, CE Report quotes ATA.
The Navigation Museum is an ambitious and long-awaited project by citizens and is expected to become an important cultural and tourist landmark for the entire region.
The investment is expected to be completed by February 10, 2026, with an estimated value of around two million euros. The Navigation Museum is part of a comprehensive package of interventions being carried out in Shkodër, aimed at boosting the tourism potential of this Albanian city.
The museum consists of two structures placed on top of each other — a hill-shaped volume at the bottom and a “floating boat” on top. The new Navigation Museum will become a symbol of the urban and cultural landscape of Shkodër. The project is financed by the EBRD and the European Union.
