U.S. President Donald Trump has asked Apple to change the name of Lake Ontario to “Lake America” in its maps application, according to reports.

U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said in a television interview that the requested name changes had been communicated to all map providers, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

Burgum said President Trump contacted Apple directly to convey the request and that the name change could soon appear in the company’s maps application.

Google has already updated the lake’s name to “Lake America” in its U.S. version of Google Maps, while saying it would continue to display “Lake Ontario” for users in Canada.

President Trump signed an executive order on August 27 changing the name of Lake Ontario, which lies along the Canadian border, to “Lake America” amid rising trade tensions between the United States and Canada.
