SpaceX launches 11th Starship test flight from Texas
The 11th test flight of Starship, the massive rocket-ship system by SpaceX designed for future explorations of the Moon and Mars, has taken off, CE Report quotes ANSA.
The launch occurred at 1:23 AM Italian time from Starbase in Texas, when the 120-meter-tall rocket ignited the 24 engines of its first stage, Super Heavy, now on its second flight.
This mission will last a total of 1 hour and 6 minutes and aims to gather new data useful for the development of this innovative space system.
The test will conclude with the splashdown of both stages: the first off the Gulf of Mexico, and the second in the Indian Ocean, without recovery of either module.
