
Varna Technical University welcomes freshmen
More than 1,250 freshmen are starting their studies at the Technical University of Varna on Monday, CE Report quotes BTA.
They will be enrolled in 36 degree programmes across various fields of engineering, agricultural, and social sciences, pursuing either bachelor’s or professional bachelor’s degrees. The university is also welcoming more than 200 future master’s students.
The new academic year at the university was officially opened Monday with a festive ceremony. The event was attended by Varna Deputy Mayor Plamen Kitipov, Deputy Regional Governor Ayrie Ibryamova, and Irena Radeva, Head of the Regional Department of Education. Among the official guests were representatives of the city’s academic community, business leaders, state and local institutions, and industry organizations.
Founded 63 years ago, the Technical University of Varna has since trained more than 72,000 specialists in key engineering, social, and agricultural fields essential to the country’s development.
