Bulgaria’s winning streak reaches three matches
Bulgaria beat Indonesia 1–0 in the FIFA Series 2026 final in Jakarta to lift the trophy.
Marin Petkov scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot after Zdravko Dimitrov was brought down in the box. Referee Nazmi Nasaruddin of Malaysia confirmed the decision following a VAR review.
On their way to the final, Bulgaria had achieved a 10-2 victory over the Solomon Islands, while Indonesia beat Saint Kitts and Nevis 4-2.
Earlier in the day, Saint Kitts and Nevis secured third place with a 4-2 win over the Solomon Islands, CE Report quotes BTA.
The victory extends Bulgaria’s winning streak to three matches, which began in November with a 2–1 win over Georgia in their final World Cup qualifier and continued with two more wins at the tournament in Indonesia.
