José Mourinho has reportedly asked Real Madrid to sign Sporting midfielder Morten Hjulmand this summer, while the name of Rodri is still being widely discussed.

Hjulmand is seen by Mourinho as a profile that could bring balance and control to Real Madrid’s midfield, while Sporting CP is expected to demand around €50 million for the player, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The report also claims that Mourinho wants a former Real Madrid player close to him on the bench — someone who could act as a bridge between management and the squad, with Toni Kroos mentioned as a possible option.

Meanwhile, Marca reports that Rodri remains one of Real Madrid’s preferred targets for midfield reinforcement. With Pep Guardiola expected to leave Manchester City, the Spanish midfielder is believed to be increasingly open to a return to Spain.

Inside the club, there is belief that a deal could become possible under the right circumstances, with Real Madrid continuing to admire Rodri’s leadership, tactical intelligence, and ability to control the game.
