Türkiye stays top in FIBA 2027 power rankings

Türkiye retained its top position in the FIBA 2027 Basketball World Cup European Qualifiers power rankings.

In its statement, FIBA referred to Turkey’s previous first-place ranking, saying:

“They were already at the top, and now they have become even better.”

The statement also praised the performance of Malachi Flynn, who recently obtained Turkish citizenship and plays for Bahçeşehir Koleji, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

Regarding the 27-year-old player, FIBA said: “Türkiye will immediately need Flynn’s contribution to the team — just take a look at the two-game series they will face in this window!”

Türkiye is followed in the top five by Greece, Germany, Serbia, and Spain, respectively.
