Moldova to host 2026 Davis Cup Group III tournament
Moldova has officially been granted the right to host the Davis Cup Europe Group III tournament in 2026. The decision was made by the Davis Cup committee.
The competition will take place in Chișinău from June 8 to 12.
During this week, the capital is expected to become a major hub for European team tennis, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
Eight national teams will participate: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ireland, Kosovo, Latvia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and host nation Moldova.
The Moldovan Tennis Federation has been appointed as the official organizer. The format will include two groups of four teams, matches played on four courts, and each tie consisting of two singles matches and one doubles match.
The top three teams at the end of the tournament will be promoted to Group II in 2027.
