Carlos Alcaraz speaks about his battle with Jannik Sinner

World number one tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has spoken about his battle with Jannik Sinner for the top spot in the ATP rankings.

Alcaraz currently leads with 12,690 points, while Sinner has 12,500, CE Report quotes MIA.

“Jannik has several big tournaments ahead where he can earn a lot of points, while I will find it difficult to defend mine. It will be tough, but that’s the beauty of our rivalry. He will become world number one again, and I will do everything I can to defend that title. This fight for first place has been very beautiful so far,” Alcaraz said in an interview with Justine Henin on Eurosport.

Alcaraz will face Argentina’s Tomás Martín Etcheverry in the third round of the Monte Carlo tournament, while Sinner will play against Czech player Tomáš Macháč.
