Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama on Thursday highlighted the newly renovated stadium in Vorë municipality, ahead of the town’s 20th-week Superiore match against Partizani.

PM Rama took to social media to share images of the upgraded venue, describing it as a modern addition to Albanian football infrastructure, CE Report quotes ATA.

“The Vorë team will play home matches in the Superiore for the first time, a historic moment for the club and the town. This modern arena not only meets national league standards but also opens the possibility of hosting future UEFA club qualifying matches,” Rama said.

The stadium, now a modern facility, is part of an infrastructure upgrade resulting from cooperation between the Albanian Football Federation and the municipality of Vorë. Certified as a second-category stadium, the pitch meets UEFA standards and is prepared to host international fixtures according to relevant regulations.

The renovation project included construction of a new central stand, refurbishment of locker rooms, facilities for technical staff, and improvements to other functional areas.

The investment provides contemporary conditions and high standards, contributing directly to the development and growth of football in Albania.
