Rahim Rashaida has been crowned the winner of the U20 and U23 Men’s Epee European Cup for the 2024/2025 season, the Bulgarian Fencing Federation announced Wednesday. A graduate of the National Sports Academy’s Fencing Club and coached by Dimitar Nikolov, Rashaida will receive a €5,000 cash prize for his achievements.

The European Fencing Confederation (EFC) recognized Rashaida among Europe’s top young talents. He secured the top seasonal ranking in both age groups through strong results in the "Fencing for Everyone" initiative—placing third in Heidenheim, second in Sofia, and sixth in Lausanne, CE Report quotes BTA

He also took gold at the World Junior Championships in Vrsac, and placed sixth in Antalya and eighth in Wuxi at continental and world cadet-junior events.

Rashaida is set to compete in the men’s category at the Fencing World Championships in Tbilisi on July 26–27.
