Lisita Wins Bronze at U15 Euro Wrestling

Margarita Lisita from Taraclia earned a bronze medal at the U15 European Women’s Wrestling Championships in Caorle, Italy, organized by United World Wrestling (UWW), the Moldovan Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Team announced, CE Report quotes BTA

Competing in the 58 kg category, Lisita secured the medal with a dominant 12-0 win over Finland’s Anna Aino Hietaniemi. She also defeated athletes from Greece, France, and Hungary on her way to the podium.

This marks her first medal at a major international event. A four-time Moldovan national champion, Lisita previously won double gold in 2025 in the U15 and U17 (57 kg) categories. Moldovan participation in the championship was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science.
