Kosovar judoka star wins by ippon at World Judo Championships

Kosovar judoka Laura Fazliu has started her journey with victory at the World Judo Championships taking place in Budapest.

In the second round of the competition in the up to 63 kilogram category, Laura triumphed over her opponent from Poland, Natalia Kropska, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Laura won the fight by Ippo after a decisive hold. Although her return from injury had slowed her down a bit at first, Fazliu managed to find her rhythm during the fight.

Through a close and hard-fought confrontation, she controlled the situation and with precise technique, forced Kropska's submission.

Laura Fazliu is considered one of the main contenders for a medal in this category.
