Authorities investigating the death of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona have seized 300 medical documents and over 500 emails from the Los Olivos clinic, where he spent his final days in November 2020, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

The raid, carried out by Buenos Aires provincial police at the request of prosecutors, followed conflicting court testimonies from the clinic’s medical director Pablo Dimitroff and intensive care head Fernando Villarejo. Officials from the clinic and Swiss Medical, its parent company, were present as police searched for treatment records between November 3 and 11, 2020, which had not yet been submitted to the court.

Seven individuals, including Maradona’s neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque and psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, face charges of medical negligence in connection with his death. Maradona died on November 25, 2020, from acute pulmonary edema linked to chronic heart failure.
