Bulgarian clubs join European Football Forum in Sofia
Representatives of Bulgarian football clubs took part in a joint working seminar held as part of the programme of the General Assembly of the European Leagues, which is being hosted by Sofia.
During the working sessions, many professional clubs in Bulgaria, along with representatives of the Bulgarian Professional Football League (BPFL) and the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU), had the opportunity to discuss key topics related to the development of club football directly with their international counterparts. Successful models for building sustainable relations between leagues, clubs and national federations were presented, as well as innovative approaches to developing profitable commercial strategies, CE Report quotes BTA.
The discussions were marked by strong interest and active participation from the Bulgarian representatives, reaffirming the importance of direct dialogue within the broader European football community.
Representatives of more than 40 European football leagues, including those from the top five leading championships, are attending the forum, which is taking place at Grand Hotel Millennium in Sofia. Delegates from the leadership of FIFA and UEFA are also present, along with representatives of the European Commission, the global football players’ union FIFPRO, the Football Supporters Europe (FSE) organization, and the club organizations ECA and UEC.
During the joint seminar, the leagues of the Czech Republic, Ireland and Slovakia presented reports on the development of their respective championships.
