Kosovo Football Federation holds talks on stadiums, international matches

The President of the Kosovo Football Federation, Agim Ademi, together with Vice President Agim Dibrani and Executive Committee member Samir Ujkani, held a meeting with the new Minister of Sport, Blerim Gashani, where they discussed the development of football in the country and institutional cooperation, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

During the meeting, representatives of the federation congratulated the minister on his new position, stressing that having a former football player and someone familiar with sport at the head of the ministry is positive for football in the country. During the discussion, the minister was briefed on the federation’s journey and development, the organization of domestic competitions, as well as the activities and international representation of Kosovo’s national teams.

The meeting also highlighted the need for continuous cooperation between institutions and the federation, emphasizing the role football plays in promoting the country internationally. Minister Gashani, for his part, praised the work done by the federation and congratulated its representatives on the results and performances achieved.

One of the main issues discussed was sports infrastructure. Federation representatives stressed that the construction and completion of stadiums remains a major challenge for the development of football and for hosting domestic and international matches under better conditions.

The minister said he is currently visiting stadiums that are under construction and emphasized that these projects are a priority for the ministry, adding that unjustified delays in their implementation will not be tolerated.

During the meeting, they also discussed Kosovo’s upcoming matches in the World Cup play-offs and the importance of institutional support to ensure the best possible organization of these games.
