Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record for the most minutes played in regular-season history, the NBA confirmed Friday. James set the milestone during his 10th minute against the Sacramento Kings, reaching 57,447 minutes over 1,517 games, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Reflecting on his achievement, James attributed it to his dedication to the game: "It's just a commitment to the craft and to the passion and love I have for the game. I always strive to keep my body in tip-top shape."

The 39-year-old already holds multiple NBA records, including career field-goal attempts and turnovers, while ranking fourth in assists, eighth in steals, and 29th in rebounds. Abdul-Jabbar, a six-time NBA MVP, retired in 1989 with 57,446 minutes played.
