Swimmer Andrei Enache, 19, achieved a new world record, winning the fastest heat in the 250m freestyle, and Dragos Ghile won gold in the 100m butterfly final, also with a world record, on Sunday, on the last day of European Championships of swimming in frozen waters from northwestern Oradea. "Today we are entering history with a new world record, achieved by Adrian Enache, 19 years old, who won the fastest heat in the 250 m freestyle and became world champion in the general classification, an extraordinary performance, with a very good lead compared to the second place. Romania also won the 100m butterfly final, through Dragos Ghile, a mega sportsman who managed to place with a significant advantage over the second place. And we have many other medals obtained by Romanians, in categories of age, being a day in which we collected many medals for the Romanian delegation," the organizer of the event, Ovidiu Tirla, told AGERPRES.
