Oradea and Uzhhorod Universities Partner Up

The University of Oradea (Romania) and Uzhhorod National University (Ukraine) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in education and research, the Romanian institution announced on Wednesday, CE Report quotes Agerpres

The agreement outlines collaboration in areas such as scientific research, student and faculty exchanges, educational programs, and the organization of international conferences and seminars.

Representing the University of Oradea were Rector Constantin Bungau, Vice-Rector Sorin Sipos, Dean Gabriel Moisa, and Associate Professor Ioan Horga, the initiator of the partnership. Bungau highlighted the university's strong commitment to internationalization, stating: "Our country is a free, European country, so we have no limits regarding international collaborations."

Uzhhorod National University was represented by Rector Volodymyr Smolanka and Dean Mykola Palinchak. Smolanka noted the structural similarities between the two universities and expressed confidence in the partnership’s potential to foster development in multiple fields.

The agreement aligns with broader European efforts to deepen academic ties with Ukraine, providing a formal framework for joint initiatives and academic mobility.
