Antalya Diplomacy Forum gathers leaders from 150 countries
The annual Antalya Diplomacy Forum will bring together participants from 150 countries for a fifth consecutive year, including state leaders, politicians, diplomats and experts in international relations.
This year's theme is "Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties". Discussions scheduled for April 17-19 will be attended by 22 presidents and prime ministers, 14 vice presidents or deputy prime ministers, 39 interior ministers, 79 representatives of international organizations and more than 500 senior officials.
Around 5,000 participants are expected in total, including members of academia and students, while 1,100 accredited journalists will cover the event in Antalya, CE Report quotes BTA.
Bulgaria will be represented by MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk, Ambassador to Turkiye Angel Cholakov and Supreme Muslim Council Chairman Vedat Ahmed.
As is customary, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will address participants, outlining key international challenges and Turkiye's positions on major regional and global issues. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will also deliver remarks.
Both Ukraine and Russia will again be represented, with Foreign Ministers Andrii Sybiha and Sergey Lavrov expected to attend, according to the forum's official website.
Among Balkan participants are North Macedonia's President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski.
Romania will be represented by Foreign Minister Oana Toiu.
Serbia will send Prime Minister Djuro Macut, Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and Bosniak National Council President Fuad Bacicanin.
Greece will be represented at the forum by seven participants, none of whom are members of the government. The delegation includes representatives of the Muslim religious community, as well as organizations and parties of citizens who identify as Turkish.
Montenegro will be represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic.
Croatia's participants include former President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, MP Armin Hodzic and State Secretary Frano Matusic.
Albania will be represented by Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha.
Kosovo will send five representatives, including President Vjosa Osmani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca, Deputy Prime Minister for Minority Affairs Fikrim Damka and Mustafa Hizlan, Political Advisor to the Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission. Bosnia and Herzegovina will also have five representatives, among them Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic.
From the Middle East, Syria will be represented by President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani. Iran will send Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh. Iraq will have three participants. Jordan will be represented by Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Palestine by Faed Mustafa, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Sector at the League of Arab States.
Among the leaders attending are the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
