Zelensky to receive Four Freedoms Award
The international Four Freedoms Award ceremony will take place on April 16 in Middelburg, the Netherlands, where this year’s laureates are President Volodymyr Zelensky and the people of Ukraine, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
The ceremony will be attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, and his mother, Princess Beatrix.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten is set to deliver a speech.
This year, the Four Freedoms Award was granted to the President of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in recognition of their courageous struggle for freedom and democracy under extremely difficult conditions.
As previously reported, Volodymyr Zelensky is currently on a European tour, having already visited Germany, Norway, and Italy. A visit to the Netherlands is expected on April 16. One of the key topics of discussions in European capitals is strengthening Ukraine’s air defense.
