President Dan Honors Heroes, Calls for Unity

On Heroes' Day, President Nicusor Dan emphasized Romania’s moral obligation to uphold the values of those who fought for freedom and unity. Speaking at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Bucharest, Dan said the country owes its democratic and European identity to the courage of past generations, CE Report quotes Agerpres

“This is the first official event I attend as President, and it’s fitting to honor those who laid the foundation for a dignified and respected Romania,” Dan said. He called on Romanians to put aside differences and focus on unity.

The event was also attended by Defence Minister Angel Tilvar, who praised the soldiers’ unwavering commitment to peace and national ideals.
