Czech firms tighten security after defense facility fire
Several Czech companies have already responded to Prime Minister Andrej Babis's call to tighten security following a fire at a defense facility in Pardubice.
Radio Prague International reported this in an article, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
Among them is Aero Vodochody, a major manufacturer of military and training aircraft.
"The company stated, in particular, that security at the facility has been reinforced, airspace monitoring has been expanded, and the fire service has been placed on full alert," the report says.
It is noted that other firms, including Bagira Systems and Ceska zbrojovka, also reported reviewing or strengthening their security measures.
As reported, on the night of March 20, a fire broke out at a warehouse of the arms company LPP Holding in the city of Pardubice. Special services are considering this emergency as a deliberate arson attack linked to terrorist activity.
