The Republic of Srpska and Greece have room to expand cooperation in many areas, it was concluded at a meeting between Republika Srpska Prime Minister Save Minić and Greece’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ioanna Eftimiadou.

The interlocutors agreed that Republika Srpska and Greece have always maintained good relations, but that there are opportunities to further strengthen ties, primarily in the field of economy, CE Report informs via the statement from the Government of Republika Srpska.

Minić said that the Government of Republika Srpska is interested in discussing joint projects. He thanked the Greek ambassador for the assistance and support her country has historically provided and said that Republika Srpska views Greece as a brotherly country.

Eftimiadou thanked them for the reception, expressing Greece’s readiness to improve cooperation. She especially expressed satisfaction with the work of the Center for Hellenic Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka, where the Greek language will be taught, which is important for strengthening cultural ties between the two peoples.

The meeting also discussed the political situation in Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the statement said.
